I had the opportunity to go around District C within our City with both City Manager and Assistant City Manager last year to show the sidewalks that needed repairs. This past weekend, I did visit some of these subdivisions and sidewalks. Some of these sidewalks got repaired and a lot more to be fixed.
I extremely happy that today we have $400,000 allocated to fix and repair sidewalks for the entire city vs. $150,000 in 2009.
The $550,000 of the METRO fund that was allocated for the Quail Valley Golf Course cart barn last would have fixed more sidewalks in the City.
I don’t know about others but I think there is a huge safety concern with SAFETY in neighborhoods with our elders, kids and adults.
